Description of the Job
Key member of the Technical Team, supporting the development of the next generation of refractory solutions.
Manage technical projects from the laboratory scale to pilot plant schemes leading ultimately towards manufacturing integration. Life cycle management of projects with the support of the wider Monocon team.
Integrate with the wider worldwide Monocon family to develop a full suite of refractory solutions.
Identify and implement process improvements to ensure the maximum effectiveness of development and industrialisation of technologies.
Offering technical support to manufacturing, quality systems, internal/external product management team and clients.
Contribute to the construction, maintenance and utilization of laboratory and pilot plant facilities needed for the product/process development.
Practical problem solving of new product introductions or customer complaints.
Liaise with parent company, suppliers, and customers to develop strong working relationships.
Identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency of the Technical Centre and the service it provides to internal and external customers.
Successful candidate will ideally have a degree within an appropriate field with several years industrial experience. Knowledge and experience of a production laboratory environment with a track record of R&D project management preferred. This is a key role within the business, with great opportunities for career development.

Description of the Job
Ideally looking for an experienced laboratory technician familiar with a working laboratory environment. Refractory knowledge or experience not necessary.
Knowledgeable in basic lab practices and procedures, supporting R&D and QC testing.
Provide technical support to the product management and operations teams.
Plan and conduct scientific investigation / experimentation.
Capable of recording information, analysing/interpretating data
Proficient in document / report preparation for review by the senior management team
Maintaining, calibrating, and cleaning of test equipment
Comfortable with planning and operating multiple work streams during daily routines.
Successful candidate will ideally have knowledge and experience of standard working laboratory procedures/practices. A self-motivated individual with the ability of effectively communicating across all levels within the business.
