Job Description

We are seeking an experienced sales manager to support our business growth and diversification ambitions through their own skill and the leadership of a team of multicultural sales representatives and agents. Our ideal sales manager has in-depth knowledge of and experience with the sales process of technical products and services to the hot process, refractory/ceramic/engineering industries, excelling at value creation, relationship building, and closing deals. We’re seeking a person with strong negotiating skills, and someone with a track record of success who can inspire the same in others. The role demands a leader with a sharp mind and the ability to coach, advise and motivate the sales force.

Objectives of this Role

  • Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analysing performance data, and projecting future performance
  • Represent the company, with a comprehensive understanding of our products and services
  • Create and execute strategic marketing & sales plans that expand customer base and extend global reach
  • Research customer needs and identify how our solutions meet them
  • Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs and opportunities
  • Track, analyse, and communicate key quantitative metrics
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop a plan to fulfil them

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical or business administration subject
  • 5+ years in sales management within an industrial setting
  • Proven track record of international success in sales & marketing
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Superb leadership ability
  • Ability to travel significantly

Advantageous Experience

  • Experience in steel/foundry industry or other hot metal environments
  • Experience in the sales and marketing of high performance refractories or ceramics
  • Ability to communicate in foreign languages

Job Title – Mechanical Engineer

MIRL have a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer to be based primarily in our Workshop at Old Denaby Doncaster.

Job Overview

  • Mechanical Build of general Machinery
  • Input into Mechanical Design
  • Pneumatic Design / Build – Panel build and machine
  • Small fabrications – Welding/Burning/Drilling etc.
  • Machine Testing
  • Installation and Commissioning

Experience and Knowledge

  • Mechanical and Pneumatics
  • Basic hydraulic and electrical knowledge would be desirable
  • Transmission drive assemblies
  • Structural assemblies

Testing

All equipment is manufactured and tested in the UK prior to dispatch to the customer

Installation and Commissioning

Part of the role will include the installation and commissioning of machinery in the steel-plant. This will mean national and international travel.

International travel would be approx. 6 weeks out of the year and each trip approx. 2 weeks duration dependent upon location.

Qualifications

BTEC Mechanical Engineering to HNC Level or equivalent

This is an excellent opportunity for a keen Mechanical Engineer to join a well-respected Engineering Division, within an internationally renowned company.

Hours of Work:  40 Hours per Work

Monday to Thursday      08:00 to 17:00 – 30 Minutes Lunch

Friday                             08:00 to 14:00 – No Lunch

Holiday Entitlement 25 days
