Monocon's Iron Desulph Lances are used for the deep injection of powder reagents for desulphurising iron. Typical reagents include: Lime, Magnesium and Calcium Carbide.

The service life of this type of lance is dependant on the following;

• Reagent type.
• Reagent injection rate.
• Treatment time.
• Molten iron temperature.

Dependant on customer requirements, the Iron Desulph Lances can be constructed with single or multiple Gas/Reagent exit ports for further downwards or sideways injection.
